Lady Bird's story
Lady Bird is a precious, affectionate beagle girl who is around six years old. Sadly, she found herself at the shelter when her owner moved out of the country but she is now cherished by her beagle-loving foster family who thinks she is practically perfect! Lady does great on the leash and enjoys leisurely walks around the neighborhood each morning. She rides well in the car. She is great with other dogs. We cant really call Lady playful but she does enjoy chewing on rawhides. She loves people and is very happy to greet friends when they come to visit. She loves tummy rubs and will paw at you or sit up and beg to let you know that she wants one! Lady does great in her foster home where there are several other dogs but we think she would do equally well as an only dog. She would be a great addition to a family with older children or she would be very happy in an adults-only household. As long as she has an attentive owner who is home much of the time and is available to give her love, she will be happy!
Lady was quite overweight when she left the shelter but after several weeks of careful feeding and daily walks in her foster home, she is well on her way to a healthy weight. Lady has been spayed and microchipped and she is up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. She is being fostered in Huntsville, AL but is available for adoption in your area.
