My story
Leia is a gorgeous black shepherd mix with a long black coat and paint-dipped spotted toes. Her brother Simba is just as lovely with a white coat and lots of energy and love to give. These two were rescued from a life outside and are looking to be adopted together. They are both a little over a year old and are curious about new people, but also very shy. They would do well with a patient adopter who could help build up their confidence and teach them all sorts of new tricks. Leia and Simba are very interested in treats and would probably enjoy some basic obedience training with their new person or family, ideally with older children. They love playgroup and enjoy other dogs, and they walk well on a leash though this is a new concept for them. Stairs are still a little scary! Both like to play in the kiddie pool and would love a home with a fenced yard. Simba is a bit more outgoing and was willing to give some kisses and sniffs on first meeting, while Leia hangs back a bit and takes her cues from her brother. They will both accept pets very politely but are still a little tentative when touched. They have continued to come out of their shells and warm up during their time at the shelter and will reward a lucky adopter with lots of love! Come meet this sweet pair today!
